Hotel SE-MI in Veliko Trgovišće has received a refreshed identity through a contemporary interior design that combines a welcoming atmosphere, natural materials, and a touch of luxury within a functional hotel environment.

Interior design concept and identity

The interior design project for Hotel SE-MI focuses on transforming the existing space into a contemporary, warm, and distinctive hotel environment. For the private investor, a comprehensive conceptual design was developed, modernizing the interior and enriching it with elements of luxury, while preserving the sense of comfort and intimacy characteristic of the local Zagorje context. The concept is based on creating a cohesive environment in which design, materials, and lighting together shape a recognizable identity and enhance the overall guest experience.

Design of wellness, gym, and restaurant areas

The wellness and spa area is designed in a tone of calmness and relaxation, emphasizing wood and stone textures combined with subdued lighting to create an intimate atmosphere. The gym and recreational spaces are designed to be functional and flexible, featuring clean lines, mirrored surfaces, and subtle details that introduce contemporary dynamism and spatial clarity. The restaurant area is conceived as a warm and elegant gathering place, with prominent wooden textures, decorative wall elements, and ambient lighting that highlight a comfortable yet refined atmosphere. The shared spaces are further enhanced with contemporary furniture and carefully selected materials to ensure visual and functional harmony.

Guest experience and design balance

The objective of the project was to create an interior that elevates the overall hotel experience and offers guests a sense of comfort, aesthetics, and quality. Special emphasis was placed on balancing contemporary design with local identity, ensuring that the space is both modern and contextually grounded. Through thoughtful material selection, lighting design, and spatial organization, Hotel SE-MI becomes a cohesive and distinctive environment that contributes to the overall identity of the property.
