Magnificent View – Hvar

Set within the Mediterranean landscape of the island of Hvar, the Magnificent View villa represents a contemporary interpretation of luxury living, where architecture is subtly integrated into its natural context, and spaces are shaped by a strong focus on views, natural light, and privacy.

Concept and context

The villa was designed in response to the site’s distinctive topography and its exceptional position offering panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. The volumes are carefully positioned to maximize visual connections while minimizing the building’s impact on the natural environment. The architecture is based on principles of contemporary Mediterranean design—clean lines, clearly defined masses, and a strong connection between interior and exterior spaces.

Spatial organization

The villa is organized through a series of horizontally layered volumes that follow the natural slope of the terrain. The main living areas open toward the sea through large glazed surfaces, while private spaces are more discreetly set back and protected. Outdoor terraces, loggias, and roof planes function as extensions of the interior, enabling outdoor living throughout most of the year.

Materials and architectural expression

The material palette is based on a combination of light-toned mineral surfaces, glass, and wooden elements, creating a sense of elegance, warmth, and durability. Horizontal concrete slabs emphasize the contemporary character of the villa, while vertical wooden brise-soleil elements provide solar protection and ensure privacy.

Relationship with the landscape

Special attention was given to landscape design, which follows the architectural concept and incorporates native Mediterranean vegetation. The swimming pool is integrated as a key element of the outdoor area and visually connected to the sea, creating a continuous experience of water and horizon.
